When we arrived yesterday, we checked in at Aseania Resort Langkawi. After hours of research, I thought this would be the best hotel for the little monsters. After all, the pool was stated as the largest in Asia.

I made an online booking before we left for Langkawi, they had a promotion then. Was a good rate, about RM380++ for our family of 4, including my MIL, makes us 5. With breakfast.
So, off to check out the breakfast and the infamous pool!
Wefie in the morning.
Main part of the pool. Not open yet at this time.
The wave pool.
Our room was a Super Deluxe Room with a balcony facing the pool. Don't be fooled by what the photo looks like on the internet. We didn't get the one with a small living room. Instead it was a compact version, looks like the Deluxe Room that they advertised. Exactly like that. We had to walk sideways to get to the toilet. I didn't bother taking photos of the room cos we were too tired yesterday and was kinda disappointed with what we got. Plus the pool in front of our room looks kinda deserted and they were having some renovation works at the pool bar. So it wasn't that great. Only great thing was the location, which is on Ground Floor, so you can just walk out to the pool and the breakfast area. No lifts in my block either.
There's a little grocery store just outside of the hotel, so that was convenient. We ate mostly from this restaurant called 'Lubuk Buaya' along the same road as the hotel, right next to Fave Hotel. Decent nasi goreng and the usual gorengs at a very decent price. Cheap cheap.
Langkawi Underwater World
After all that swimming we decided to check out Langkawi Underwater World. It's about 10 mins walk from the hotel at Cenang Street, but we took the car instead as it was super hot and walking with 2 little monsters....no thanks.
Entrance fee is RM30 per adult with MyKad and RM20 per child above 3 with MyKid. The fees would be RM40 and RM30 respectively for non-Malaysians.
Still quite impressive I must say. Since my last trip (before the kids!) circa 2004, the collection of underwater life still looks pretty healthy. Most importantly, the kids loved it!
Just before we left we got some sweet treats at the Duty Free outlets just at the exit. Coco Valley and The Zon. Good stuff.
